FRANCHISE OWNERS

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Agriculture Technology Management and Associate Transfer in Entrepreneurship. I spent ten years in a Fortune 500 consumer packaging goods company, where I worked in a variety of positions, such as, sales, event marketing, analytics and brand management.
My desire to own a franchise stemmed from the need to be a direct benefactor of my work, having time flexibility and the ability to be able to choose who I want to work with.
Helping homeowners save time and get connected to great contractors is my primary purpose for wanting to be a part of HOCOA®. Additional influential factors are the network of successful HOCOA® owners that I can get feedback from and share ideas with on a regular basis and the scalability of the business with low additional overhead cost.

We own a custom home building company and decided that HOCOA® was a perfect fit to build off the synergies we had from our existing entity. Since we run another company, the best part of owning a HOCOA® franchise is that it is a very flexible system that we can shape and grow at our own pace.

After Graduate School, I became Vice President of my family's medical alarm company. After successfully growing the company and establishing a branch in Richmond, Virginia, my company was purchased by a national competitor. I worked for them for over a year, and came to realize that they didn't hold the same values on customer service and relationships that we had in our family business. I moved on to become a multi-center director for Sylvan Learning Center. I decided that the best way to achieve my lifestyle and financial goals was to start my own business. HOCOA® was the answer.
Purchasing a franchise was very attractive for me because I was starting my business with an established framework and system, which would put me on a strong path to success. HOCOA® was also very different, conceptually, than any other opportunity I had seen. There is no one who does what we do, the way we do it.
The best part about owning a HOCOA® franchise is the powerful feeling I get when we help simplify our member's lives, and protect their families and homes from disreputable contractors. Giving them convenience and peace of mind, while providing them with exceptional customer service is at the heart of what we do. When you combine that with low overhead, low staffing requirements, multiple revenue streams and a service that is strongly recession resistant, it was the ideal opportunity for me and my family.

I began by building a furniture fabric company from the ground up. I eventually sold that business. After that, for twenty two years, I was in the real estate industry, where I owned three large RE/MAX offices that I sold in 2007.
The most attractive reason I wanted to own a franchise was the freedom to run a business for myself. I love the simplicity of the HOCOA® model.
The most enjoyable part of being a part of HOCOA® has been helping my members take the stress and worry out of all their home repair and maintenance needs and the simplicity of the HOCOA® system.
